This is a Wool & Silk  carpet.  The pile is a blended fibre that goves a deeper pile - and a lower cost, as it is quicker to weave.
 
At 300 knots per square inch, a craftsman worked for about 6 month s to build this carpet. 
 
Handmade in a Kashmiri village.
